Prayer to get out of debt?
So if there were a prayer to get out of debt I’d say it but truth be told I’m not much of a believer.
What I do believe in, though, is that the thoughts you put out into the world matter.
If those thoughts start with a prayer then so be it!
But you can’t simply sit back and expect your debts to be swept away. It’s just not going to work that way.
At least in my literal 30 YEARS of being in debt I have never found it to work that way.
Getting out of debt, we’re told, is simple!
Just spend less than you make and “voila”! No debt.
Well I’d say 100 prayers to get out of debt if it were that easy.
As I’ve mentioned in this post and in this post I’m not here to tell you I have all the answers to resolving debt. At least not yet.
I am here to take this journey, to find the solution, to be the voice of a person who has ACTUALLY struggled with money over many, many, many years.
Let’s talk about prayers and why I believe the people who are looking for a prayer to get out of debt might be onto something. Here are some of the traits of a prayer:
- It’s rooted in Faith – You have to believe you can get out of debt and a prayer is all about having faith.
- You must be Humble – In prayer you are asking for help. It’s not coming from ego.
- Confidence is required – You wouldn’t pray for help if you weren’t confident it would work.
- It is simple – A prayer is a simple request with a simple solution.
These are great traits to command when you are working towards getting out of debt.
So here’s a prayer for the non-believer because I’m just not experienced with the word of God (credit to ChatGPT – all other content on this blog is written by a human unless otherwise indicated). Also known as an affirmation or intention:
A Focused Intention to Break Free from Debt
I acknowledge where I am right now, without judgment or shame.
I recognize my ability to take control of my financial situation and create change.
I am committed to understanding my finances clearly, making a plan, and taking action.
Each day, I will make choices that bring me closer to financial freedom.
I release fear and stress around money, replacing them with clarity and determination.
I focus on opportunities to increase my income, reduce my expenses, and make smarter financial decisions.
I am patient with myself, knowing this journey requires persistence.
I celebrate small victories and remain motivated by my progress.
With every action I take, I move closer to a life free of financial burden.
I am worthy of abundance, stability, and peace of mind.
